About the volunteering opportunity

The hallways on several floors of the shared housing facility for refugees are showing their age and need a fresh coat of paint. With a fresh coat of paint, we can create a friendlier and more welcoming living environment for the residents. That’s why we want to use the volunteer days to repaint the walls together.

Your Tasks

First, we’ll start with the preparations: We’ll tape off the baseboards and cover the floors and any furniture as needed. Then we’ll paint the walls so the hallway shines with a fresh new look. Finally, we’ll clean up together and remove the drop cloths and tape so that everything looks neat and tidy again.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
You should only have the desire to provide active support - otherwise no special knowledge is required.

What to bring

Please wear work clothes that can handle a few paint stains.

Paint and other necessary materials will be provided on site.

A break room will be provided at the shared housing facility where you can store your belongings and take your lunch break together. Drinks and food will be provided by the facility.

Important notice

It’s important that you’re generally open to the idea of helping refugees. The children living there, like all children, are very curious and may want to help out.

“Pfizer Volunteer” T-shirts are available again in sizes M, L, XL, and XXL for women, and S, M, L, XL, and XXL for men. You can pick them up on the 3rd floor from Christiane Fleiter.
