About the volunteering opportunity

The annual fall festival is a traditional gathering for volunteers, families, and sponsored children. With an average of about 50–60 participants of all ages, the association spends a Saturday afternoon together, enjoying coffee, cake, and a creative children’s program. The main goal is to connect and interact with one another. 

We will help set up and take down the booths and will also supervise two creative activity stations.

Your Tasks

You’ll help set up and take down the booths and, together with the other volunteers, run two creative stations:
  • Making masks and magic wands
  • Applying glitter tattoos

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
You should enjoy working creatively with children. Reliability and the ability to work in a team are also important in order to ensure the smooth assembly and dismantling of the stands.

What to bring

  • Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and shoes, as the event will take place outdoors, and remember to apply sunscreen if necessary.
  • Here you’ll find a short video explaining the glitter tattoos. Everything will be explained again on-site, though.
  • Coffee and cake will be available for purchase on-site. Please bring your own snacks and drinks.
  • Chairs and tables for our two booths will be provided.

 AMSOC e.V., the sponsorship organization for children of mentally ill parents, has been an independent youth welfare organization since 1995 and offers affected families various support services to help all family members deal with the illness.
