About the volunteering opportunity
With #everynamecounts, you record the names and dates of victims and survivors of National Socialism. In this way, you actively engage with the past and set an example for respect, diversity and democracy.
The documents in our archive, which document the fates of 17.5 million people, have already been scanned. However, in order to make them findable and visible worldwide in our online archive, the information must be entered into a database - with your help!
Your Tasks
Over 400,000 volunteer supporters have helped so far. We have already processed more than 7 million documents together.

Important notice
We’ll meet on Zoom to kick things off together. There, you’ll receive a brief introduction to the Arolsen Archives and the volunteer opportunity. After that, you can get started with the volunteer work. At the end of the session, we’ll meet again on Zoom for a feedback session. If you can’t commit to the full three hours, you can also end the project on your own earlier.

The Arolsen Archives are the international center on Nazi persecution with the world's most comprehensive archive on the victims and survivors of National Socialism. The collection with information on around 17.5 million people is part of the UNESCO World Documentary Heritage. It contains documents on the various victim groups of the Nazi regime and is an important source of knowledge for today's society.
