About the volunteering opportunity

Our Sonnenhof children's and youth hospice has a garden and a front garden that we would like to freshen up together with you.

Your Tasks

Gardening work includes:
  • Raking
  • Removing weeds
  • planting plants if necessary
  • Moving stones for a new dry stone wall
  • Cleaning the garden furniture
  • a few handicrafts if necessary
And we can usually think of other tasks on the spur of the moment.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
Fun and no need to worry about getting your hands dirty.

What to bring

Please wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty. Also make sure you wear weatherproof clothing so that we can work in the rain.
Work gloves are provided. We will also provide cookies, coffee and water.

Important notice

This outreach is not personal support for our young guests with life-limiting illnesses.
We would like to help break down inhibitions and fears of contact and bring our work to the center of society. We will take you on a tour of our house and plan enough time to answer your questions.

Sonnenhof is a hospice for children, adolescents and young adults. We accompany the young guests and their families from the time of diagnosis - not just in the last weeks of life. There is a friendly, cheerful atmosphere.
We want to help break down inhibitions and fears of contact and bring our work into the heart of society.
